White Sox play power ball to back Chris Sale in victory over Royals

The White Sox mostly feel like they have won the lotto when Chris Sale takes the mound.

On Friday night, though, they had to rely on the power ball number to come through during a 7-5 victory against the Royals, whose streak of defeats stretched to eight thanks in large part to a the Sox's season-high four home runs.

Sale became the second pitcher in baseball to reach 10 victories despite the Royals harassing him for five run on 11 hits in six-plus innings. Earlier in the night, Stephen Strasburg won his 10th for the Nationals.
