White Sox outfielder Willy Garcia has a fractured right jaw and needs surgery to insert a plate in the jaw, the Sox announced Thursday.

Garcia, who suffered the injury during an outfield collision with second baseman Yoan Moncada on Monday, is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. He already was on the seven-day concussion disabled list.

García was batting .258 with two home runs and 11 RBIs. Moncada suffered a bruised right knee but was back in the lineup Thursday after missing two games.

The Sox also have been without All-Star right fielder Avisail Garcia, who is on the disabled list with a sprained ligament in his right thumb.
