The Chicago White Sox optioned pitcher Reynaldo Lopez to the Schaumburg training facility Thursday and recalled pitcher Bernardo Flores Jr.
Lopez is 0-2 with an 8.38 ERA and 10 strikeouts in four starts this season. He lasted just 1u2154 innings Wednesday, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits with two strikeouts and two walks in an 8-1 loss to the Minnesota Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis.
“I’ve been trying to work on the things I need to improve on to get better and to get my rhythm,” Lopez said through an interpreter after the game.
