Slowly but surely, James Shields has begun to emerge from his funk.
So too has the White Sox offense.
Shields pitched six strong innings and Tim Anderson and Dioner Navarro homered on Monday afternoon as the White Sox downed the New York Yankees 8-2 in front of 30,955 at U.S. Cellular Field. Anderson, Navarro and Brett Lawrie had two RBIs each for the White Sox, who have hit 23 of their 85 home runs in the last 13 games. The White Sox have won 10 of their last 14 and improved to 43-40.
Whereas the White Sox offense was often times invisible during a 10-26 stretch, the group has been hot for nearly three weeks now.
