The White Sox finally provided left-hander Jose Quintana with more than one run of support Wednesday night at Fenway Park.
And on one of Quintana's toughest nights of the season, he really needed to be picked up.
Quintana allowed a season-high six earned runs in 5 1/3 innings, but the Sox fought through it to earn an 8-6 victory over the Red Sox. The White Sox returned to .500 and won three straight games for the first time since winning four May 6-9.
Melky Cabrera and Brett Lawrie hit eighth-inning home runs off Red Sox reliever Koji Uehara to surge back from a two-run deficit.
