The slumping Chicago White Sox now will have to make do without one of their best hitters as outfielder Andrew Benintendi was placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 7, with a left adductor strain.
The 30-year-old Benintendi was removed from Sunday's game in the fifth inning. In nine games this season, Benintendi is batting .290 with two home runs and six RBIs.
