White Sox minor-league pitcher Kameron Loe announced on Twitter that he will be serving an 80-game suspension for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
Loe joined the Sox on a minor-league deal at the beginning of March and wasn’t a part of big-league camp. A Sox spokesman said Major League Baseball had not yet released details of the suspension.
In a series of 12 tweets, Loe said he bought at a store a supplement that was not NSF Certified For Sport and used it before he signed the deal with the Sox.
