White Sox MiLB Report: Michael Kopech Posts Quality Start

Chicago White Sox third ranked prospect Michael Kopech posted his third consecutive quality start for the Double-A Birmingham Barons on Tuesday. Kopech helped lead the Barons to a 4-1 road victory over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.

The 21-year-old right hander pitched six innings for the Barons and recorded six strikeouts. Kopech allowed one earned run and one walk against Pensacola. With this being Kopech’s third consecutive quality start, the right-hander has continued to improve as a starting pitcher.

The Sox have had some decent starts from its top prospects recently. After Carson Fulmer posted a quality start for Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday, Kopech was able to notch a solid outing for Birmingham.
