White Sox outfield prospect Luis Alexander Basabe made his season debut this past Monday with Low-A Kannapolis. On Tuesday night, he collected two hits in the Intimidators 5-2 win over the Charleston RiverDogs.
Basabe’s start to this season was stalled after he suffered a broken hand in Spring Training. After finishing last season with a .251/.340/.394 slash line with Double-A Birmingham, Basabe looked to be on a path to reaching Triple-A this season. However, his start to this season being derailed by injury could stall his progression through the White Sox farm system.
The White Sox currently have many outfield prospects with the Barons.
