Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Dylan Cease hasn’t looked like himself in his previous two outings before Tuesday night. The young right-handed pitcher struggled over his past two starts but rebounded nicely to post a season-high 11 strikeouts on Tuesday.
In Triple-A Charlotte’s 4-2 loss to the Gwinnett Stripers, Cease posted a quality start with six innings pitched, two earned runs allowed, one walk and 11 strikeouts. This came after Cease failed to last five innings in his previous two starts. WIth his outing on Tuesday, Cease saw his ERA on the season drop to 3.
