Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Alec Hansen posted a quality start for Double-A Birmingham in the team’s 1-0 loss at home on Sunday night. Pitching against the Mississippi Braves, Hansen had his best outing thus far this season.
Hansen pitched six strong innings against the Braves and allowed just one walk and one earned run. The 2016 second-round draft pick recorded five strikeouts but the only run of the game he allowed was the difference maker. Hansen gave up a solo home run to Tyler Neslony in the first inning but didn’t allow a run after that.
