CHICAGO — Prior to tonight’s game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field, the Chicago White Sox reinstated left-handed pitcher Jace Fry from the 10-day injured list, placed catcher Welington Castillo on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to June 17) with a strained left oblique and purchased the contract of catcher Zack Collins from Class AAA Charlotte.
Fry, 25 was placed on the injured list on June 10 (retro to June 8) with left shoulder soreness. He has gone 1–2 with a 5.79 ERA (15 ER/23.1 IP), eight holds and 27 strikeouts over 28 appearances this season.
