The White Sox scored 10-plus runs in back-to-back games for the first time in nearly five years Monday and Tuesday against the Royals, and they’ll try to ride the scoring spree to a series sweep in the finale Wednesday afternoon at Guaranteed Rate Field.
The Sox had 15 hits in a 12-1 victory Monday and 14 hits in a 10-5 victory Tuesday. They have totaled 28 runs in the last three games after enduring a 23-inning scoreless streak.
They last had double-digit games in a row on May 26-27, 2012, against the Indians.
