White Sox 2, Twins 1 after five innings
The White Sox (21-10), owners of the best record in the American League and a five-game lead in the Central Division, will look to complete their second three-game sweep of the hapless Twins (8-22) on Sunday afternoon at U.S. Cellular Field. Lefty Jose Quintana (4-1, 1.40 ERA) will face Twins righty Tyler Duffey (0-1, 1.74) before leaving for Texas. Joe Mauer will not be in the lineup today for the Twins. Manager Paul Molitor said he’s simply giving Mauer a day off.
