Nationals right-hander Joe Ross walked Adam Eaton and Austin Jackson on 10 pitches to start the game before Abreu recorded his fourth RBI in the last five games.
After Melky Cabrera’s single loaded the bases, J.B. Shuck drew a bases-loaded walk to put the Sox ahead by two. Ross hadn’t walked three in any start this season before Tuesday.
