Mat Latos threw at White Sox camp Monday in Glendale, while Erik Johnson got the nod in the Cactus League game against the Angels.
As they have with fellow starters Chris Sale and Jose Quintana, the Sox have declined to pitch Latos, a free-agent acquisition, in a game against major-leaguers.
Why not?
"That's just Coop," manager Robin Ventura said, referring to pitching coach Don Cooper.
Sale won't pitch in the Cactus League until around March 19, in part to keep teams from seeing him.
