CLEVELAND — White Sox pregame instructor Luis Sierra went to the hospital for tests Friday after a line drive struck him in the face in early batting practice.
White Sox manager Robin Ventura was on the field when Sierra, who was standing behind a protective L screen, was struck near the right eye.

Ventura said Sierra was wearing glasses when the line drive struck him.
Sierra was a White Sox minor leaguer from 2007-14.
