White Sox infielder Tyler Saladino will not have to sit out seven games due to concussion protocol, the White Sox announced before Monday’s game against the Mariners.
Saladino and outfielder Nicky Delmonico collided in the outfield during Sunday’s game, causing a partial dislocation of Delmonico’s left shoulder.
Saladino was hit in the head in the collision and came out later. The Sox said after the game Saladino would sit for seven games due to MLB’s concussion protocol.
But it was later discovered the concussion rule does not apply to spring training games, so Saladino is back to being day-to-day.
