One decade ago, Aaron Rowand was a part of a special championship run on the South Side with the White Sox.
Now, he's going to be developing the next crop of White Sox outfielders in the minor leagues.
On Monday, the Sox announced the hiring of Rowand as their new minor-league outfield and baserunning instructor. Doug Sisson had previously held the role but left the team at the end of this season.
“This is a great opportunity for me to give back to the organization which gave me my professional start,” Rowand said in a press release.
