Daniel Palka’s first walk-off home run Friday against the Indians not only capped a night of milestones for the White Sox, it set up Yolmer Sanchez, Chicago’s clown prince of baseball, for more of his Gatorade histrionics.
This time, though, Sanchez didn’t pour the sports-drink bucket on himself to celebrate a teammate’s game-winning play. The “lucky” recipient was third-base coach Nick Capra, who appeared never to see it coming.
“That was hilarious,” Palka said. “I wasn’t sure what he was doing, and right when I noticed he was getting Cappy, I couldn't help but start laughing as I was rounding third.
