GLENDALE, Ariz. — Zach Putnam looks to be over the right hamstring issue that slowed him earlier in camp.
The White Sox reliever is scheduled to pitch again Tuesday, which would mark his third appearance after a long layoff. Since returning from 10 days away, Putnam has thrown a pair of scoreless innings, the most recent being Saturday.
Putnam, who went 3-3 with a 4.07 ERA in 49 games last year, said he has no restrictions or problems after he didn’t play from March 7 until last Wednesday. He’s instead been able to focus on righting some earlier issues he had with his split-fingered fastball.
