The conditions are right for Luis Robert to be the White Sox center fielder come Opening Day.
USA Today's Bob Nightengale reported Thursday — and Our Chuck Garfien confirmed — that the team has reached a tentative agreement on a long-term contract with Robert, the organization's top-ranked prospect and the No. 3 prospect in the game. The deal, including options, could keep Robert in a White Sox uniform through the 2027 season.

Luis Robert, the USA TODAY minor-league player of the year, should receive more than the six-year, $43 million extension Eloy Jimenez signed last spring with the #WhiteSox that is potentially worth $75 million if the #WhiteSox exercise the two option years.
