White Sox: Geovany Soto to Undergo Surgery; Gregory Infante Promoted

The Chicago White Sox announced several roster moves on Monday. The team is now bracing for a future without catcher Geovany Soto.

In a statement released by the Chicago White Sox prior to Monday night’s game, the organization announced they have moved catcher Geovany Soto to the 60-day disabled list. The veteran will have arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow.

Soto has been bothered by pain in his elbow since the beginning of the season. He made his first trip to the disabled list on April 12. After some time off, Soto returned on Aprill 22 and played in just eight games.
