White Sox Game Day: Lead Twins 2-1 after 5 innings

The Chicago White Sox sent right-hander Erik Johnson to the mound as they began a three-game series against the Minnesota Twins on Friday night at U.S. Cellular Field.

The 25-year-old was making his second start of the season--the first at home--after being recalled from Triple-Charlotte on Sept. 1. Johnson won his first start of 2015 when he allowed three runs on five hits while striking out three over six innings against the Kansas City Royals on Sept. 6. Johnson was opposed by Ervin Santana (4-4, 4.93 ERA).

First baseman Adam LaRoche returned to the lineup after missing three games with patella tendinitis in his right knee.
