Former Chicago White Sox starting pitcher John Danks is aiming to pitch in 2017, according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports. He spent 10 seasons with the organization. The Sox released him in May after he started 0-4 with a 7.25 ERA.

Danks’ best season came in 2010 when he went 15-11 with a 3.72 ERA in 213 innings. Looking at his stats, he was never the best pitcher, but he did eat up innings. The organization felt he would help anchor a rotation, along with Chris Sale and Jose Quintana.
