Bench coach Mark Parent has been fired by the White Sox, a source said Friday.
Parent, who has held the position since 2012, won’t be with the team for its final three games of the season.
The White Sox, who have missed the postseason in nine of the last 10 seasons and are set to finish under .500 for a third straight season, open a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers on Friday night.
