The White Sox brought up left-handed pitcher Xavier Cedeno from Triple-A Charlotte, the team announced Thursday. The 31-year-old takes the roster spot of fellow lefty Aaron Bummer.
The Sox sent Bummer down to Charlotte after Wednesday night’s win over the Twins. Manager Rick Renteria said after the game that Bummer had been progressing well but wants him to continue working on his command.
The Sox play their series finale against the Twins at Target Field on Thursday.
