Mat Latos' final act in a White Sox uniform was an expletive-rich, if not honest, appraisal of his pitching performance Tuesday night. It was an outing that prompted the team Thursday to make Latos the second starter this season designated for assignment after John Danks.
Latos pursed his lips and shrugged his shoulders as he stood in front of his now-deserted locker after allowing six runs on five hits and four walks in 4 1/3 innings of his team's 10-5 loss to the Nationals.
He called his outing "pathetic.
