MLB free agency is still sliding along at a bizarrely slow pace, as Jason Hammel, Mike Napoli, Matt Wieters, Pedro Alvarez and other valuable 2016 contributors remain unsigned, obscuring a bit that the White Sox teardown has essentially been locked in place for nearly three months. The White Sox have made some buy-low signings befitting a rebuilding team, but ever since Rick Hahn said at the Adam Eaton trade press conference that he would just as soon hold four more such announcements, he has not held one, though surely not due to lack of effort.
“In all candor, this offseason at times has been a little frustrating,” Hahn said at SoxFest last weekend.
