Todd Steverson said Tuesday he wouldn't change how he approached coaching the White Sox hitters this season, despite the overall disappointing results.
The Sox entered Tuesday night's 5-4 victory over the Red Sox at U.S. Cellular Field ranked 25th in the majors in scoring with 3.84 runs per game. A second-half rebound, in which the Sox had scored 5.23 runs per game from July 23 through Monday, gave them a lift.
"The information, the work has all been there," Steverson said. "It's the oddest thing I've probably seen in a long, long time of coaching to have as many guys as we did start off struggling.
