GLENDALE, Ariz. -- David Robertson is still several days from game action but likes how he’s throwing.
The White Sox closer threw 28 pitches in live batting practice on Saturday and made progress. Robertson, who saved 34 of 41 games last season for the White Sox, typically begins his throwing later in the spring.
“I feel like I threw the ball pretty well,” Robertson said. “I was locating well. It’s an adjustment. For me, I kind of have to get that mental process of throwing in on guys, like seeing it where I want it. Throwing it down and away, it’s like the feel of action with the hitters in the box and locating the pitch.
