This White Sox move wasn’t totally unexpected as most of the players weren’t major contributors during the 2018 season.
One of the players was snapped up by another team and three of them were outrighted after clearing waivers. The three who were outrighted will remain with the organization, moving from Chicago to Triple-A Charlotte. This news was reported by Madeline Kenney with the Chicago Sun-Times.
Kevan Smith, who has been in the White Sox organization since he was drafted by the team in 2011, will now play for the Los Angeles Angels who claimed him off of waivers.
