Carson Fulmer’s Single-A debut went well on Thursday night.
The first-round pick of the White Sox started and struck out three in two scoreless innings at Single-A Winston-Salem. Fulmer walked a batter and gave up a single for the Dash, who lost 3-2 to the Carolina Mudcats.

Nate Jones threw his second scoreless inning at Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday night and has five shutout innings pitched in his rehab assignment.
While Fulmer could be on a similar path as last year’s top pick, Carlos Rodon, the White Sox intend to use him less because he pitched roughly 30 more innings than Rodon during Vanderbilt’s run through the College World Series.
