It wasn't all bad for the White Sox on Monday night.
While the major league squad was struggling mightily in Minneosta, White Sox first-round pick Carson Fulmer was going out in style in what was likely his last collegiate appearance.
The No. 8 pick in this year's MLB draft rose to the occasion in Vanderbilt's first game of the College World Series Finals. The right-hander went 7 2/3 innings against Virginia, giving up two hits and no runs while striking out eight and walking two. Thanks to their ace, the Commodores are one win away from repeating as national champions.
