The White Sox recalled outfielder Ryan Cordell from Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.
The 26-year-old is batting .246 with four home runs, 26 RBI and eight stolen bases in 51 combined games for the Arizona League Sox, Class AA Birmingham and Charlotte.
He appeared in 22 games in center field for the Charlotte Knights. The Sox acquired him from the Brewers in a trade for right-hander Anthony Swarzak in July 2017.
Cordell will wear No. 49.
The move increase the White Sox’s active roster to 29.
