Relief pitcher Matt Albers will be a part of the White Sox bullpen again in 2016.
The team announced Thursday that it agreed on a one-year contract with Albers worth $2.25 million with a team option for 2017.
Last season, Albers, 33, made 30 appearances, posting a 1.21 ERA in 37 1/3 innings. He struck out 28 batters and walked nine, surrendering 31 hits but just five earned runs.
Albers spent nearly three months on the disabled list with a broken finger. He earned six holds over the final month of the season, including one in each of his final five outings.
