The White Sox will auction off Nancy Faust’s organ to benefit charity during their annual holiday garage sale at U.S. Cellular Field this weekend.
The Sox will open bidding for Faust’s donated Hammond Elegante organ at $1,000 and will take bids via online auction from 2 p.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday. Faust was the Sox organist for 41 years before retiring after the 2010 season.
The proceeds from the auction and the garage sale will benefit Chicago White Sox Charities, the organization’s branch that supports various charities throughout the Chicago area. Along with the organ, fans can buy apparel, memorabilia and game-used items at the sale, which will be held at U.
