CHICAGO — The Chicago White Sox start off the 2019 season with promotional highlights, giveaways and ceremonial first pitches for the upcoming homestand vs. Seattle and Tampa Bay.
The White Sox celebrate the return of baseball in Chicago with a ceremonial first pitch by newly elected Hall-of-Famer Harold Baines on Thursday, April 4. Other highlights for the
White Sox home opener include:
· National Anthem performed by Miguel Cervantes, singer/actor known for his role as Alexander Hamilton in the hit Broadway musical “Hamilton”
· Free T-Shirt Thursday, presented by CIBC: The first 20,000 fans to enter the ballpark will receive a 2019 commemorative Opening Day T-Shirt
· Ford Drive Around: Introduction of 2019 White Sox players and coaches as they arrive on field in Ford Mustangs
· Presentation of the flag by 125 White Sox Volunteer Corps members in honor of the program’s 10-year anniversary
· Flyover by VFA-213 (F/A-18s) of the United States Navy
