A.J. Pierzynski, a popular player with White Sox fans will return to the organization as a team ambassador. Pierzynski announced the news on Monday at the Winter Meetings. The former major league catcher played eight seasons with the Sox.
Pierzynski has been in a broadcast role with Fox Sports and will represent the Sox next year for the MLB Draft. He will also take part in Opening Day ceremonies for the team and attend other games in relation to his role according to Scott Merkin of whitesox.com.
