CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox avoided arbitration with two players Thursday, agreeing to one-year deals with left-handed reliever Dan Jennings and infielder Brett Lawrie.
Lawrie, who was acquired from the Oakland Athletics in a December trade, will receive $4.125 million for the 2016 season. The 25-year old had a .260 batting average and a .407 slugging percentage while hitting 16 home runs with 29 doubles for the A’s in 2015.
