White Sox agree to one-year deals with Avisail Garcia, Zach Putnam

The White Sox have avoided the arbiter’s table after they agreed to terms with their final two arbitration-eligible players on Friday.

Outfielder Avisail Garcia and the club agreed on a one-year, $2.1 million deal while reliever Zach Putnam agreed to a $975,000 contract for 2016.

Putnam was 3-3 with 64 strikeouts and a 4.07 ERA in 48 2/3 innings last season.

Garcia .257/.309/.365 with 13 home runs and 59 RBIs in 601 plate appearances, his first full season in the majors.

The White Sox agreed to terms with second baseman Brett Lawrie ($4.125 million) and reliever Dan Jennings ($810,000) on Thursday.
