The White Sox announced Monday the addition of Josh Osich, a 30-year-old left-hander who spent the last four seasons with the San Francisco Giants. Osich started this spring with the Giants, was designated for assignment last month, picked up by the Baltimore Orioles a week later and then designated for assignment again a few days ago.
The team also announced that Michael Kopech, recovering from Tommy John surgery, has officially been placed on the 60-day disabled list, where he's expected to stay for the entirety of the 2019 season.
Osich appeared in 160 games for the Giants over the past four seasons and owns a 5.
