The Chicago White Sox signed Adalberto Mejia to a minor league deal on Tuesday and he could prove to be a solid bullpen addition if given the chance.
Mejia, 26, pitched for three teams this past season in which he had a 6.61 ERA, 4.97 FIP, and 1.723 WHIP with 8.6 K/9 as compared to 6.0 BB/9.
While those statistics leave much to be desired, Mejia was actually pretty solid once he joined the Los Angeles Angels.
In 20 appearances in Anaheim, the southpaw registered a 3.46 ERA, 1.308 WHIP, 9.
