The White Sox reinstated Yoan Moncada from the disabled list, and the second baseman is expected to be in the lineup Thursday night when the Sox open a two-game series against the Pirates in Pittsburgh.
Moncada, 22, had been on the disabled list since May 5 with a left-hamstring injury. He is hitting .263 with six home runs and 15 RBIs.
In a corresponding move, the Sox optioned infielder Jose Rondon to Triple-A Charlotte.
