White Sox left-hander Carlos Rodon, expected to get his first opening day start next month, makes his Cactus League debut Saturday afternoon against the Rockies at Camelback Ranch.
Rodon posted a 6-3 record and 2.70 earned-run average in his first 14 starts after returning from shoulder surgery last June, but inexplicably plunged in September, going 0-5 with a 9.22 ERA.
“He won’t say so, but I think he might have fatigued a little bit,” manager Rick Renteria said. “He was coming from an extended amount of time of recovery and work.
