In the wake of the miserable news this afternoon for both Chicago White Sox slugger Eloy Jiménez and the Sox that Jiménez will be out about five to six months — pretty much likely the whole season — the South Siders put up nine runs on 10 hits in a pretty lopsided 9-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.
All but two Sox hitters in this afternoon’s starting lineup reached base, including second baseman Nick Madrigal and right fielder Adam Eaton both going 2-for-3, contributing four of the teams 10 hits and with Eaton adding two RBIs, Madrigal two runs.
