On paper, this looked like a good opportunity for the Chicago White Sox to get some offensive firepower going against a struggling Matt Harvey. That came to fruition as José Abreu started the White Sox offense with three RBIs, while Yoán Moncada and Jake Lamb (!) each contributed two-run home runs to round out the offensive production.
While Dallas Keuchel wasn’t great, that was more than enough cushion for him as he made his way through five innings, giving up four runs off of three homers. The home run tally is particularly damning for a guy that doesn’t give up too many, but — as has been the case all season — Keuchel hasn’t kept a lot of guys off-balance this year as he’s done in years past.
