The White Sox kicked off the homestand honoring the one and only Beltin’ Bill Melton on the 50th anniversary of his major-league debut. The former third baseman was welcomed home with a ceremonial first pitch. Fans who attended the game took home a piece of memorabilia from the evening: a Beltin’ Bill Melton T-shirt, presented by the Village of Bedford Park.
Melton kicked off the celebrity sighting for the homestand, but the Sox will welcome special guests all week. Here are some other special guests to keep your eye out for:
