David Robertson was a good closer for the Chicago White Sox in 2015. However, the question going forward is what to do with him. Considering the fact that he is coming off of a good year, would it make sense to move him now? While the team’s plans are unknown, it may make sense to get rid of some of that payroll if possible.
The reason I am saying this is because Robertson’s contract is quite large for a closer. Meaning if they wait one year too long to move him, they are stuck. Bad contracts weigh a team down, and prevent them from bringing in other players.
