Luis Robert (cleanup, right field): 2-for-6, R, K, GWRBI (.300)
Just one Chicago White Sox prospect was active for this one, and Robert indeed announced his presence with authority.
After leading off the second with a line out to left, Robert collected his first hit leading off the fourth, a single to center, eventually scoring Glendale’s first run and trimming the Solar Sox’s lead to 6-1.
Robert failed to contribute to Glendale’s comeback in the bottom of the sixth (K with a runner on first and none out), when the Desert Dogs trimmed Mesa’s lead to 8-5, or in the bottom of the ninth, when Glendale forced extra time with three runs (soft ground out to third that nonetheless moved a runner from second to third, setting up the game-tying sac fly).
